With the cost of living crisis affecting millions of families across the country, parents are looking for ways to save over the summer holidays and free meals have become a really important part of that.
And it’s good news for mums, dads and guardians as many restaurants, supermarkets and hotels are offering free meals to children over the next few months.
In fact, favourites such as Bella Italia and M&S have some great deals to entertain and feed your little ones.
So, which restaurants and cafes are offering free and discounted meals over the summer? Here's a full list of restaurants offering the food discount.
Asda
Deal: £1 kids meals all day
Offer running dates: End of the year (2023)
The budget supermarket is offering kids the chance to eat for £1 ‘All Day, Every Day’ at Asda cafes, with no adult spend required. To make the offer even more appealing, adults can also grab a half priced meal after 3pm. They are also offering a free piece of fresh fruit with every meal.

Tesco
Deal: One free Kids Hot Meal Deal wit every adult meal
Offer running dates: Monday-Fridays only between Mon 24th July - Fri 1st September 2023
Kids can choose from a Hot Meal Deal, Kids Breakfast or Kids Pick 'n' Mix deal with any adult purchase with popular option including beans or avocado on toast, baked chicken goujons or a sandwich. Fresh fruit and vegetable side dishes are included depending on the meal deal you choose.
Sainsbury’s Cafe
Deal: Children eat free with the purchase of one adult meal.
Offer running dates: From 11:30am everyday during the summer holidays
Cure hunger on your weekly shop with this great free meal offer. Children can either choose a hot meal or the kids lunch bag along with every adult meal purchased which can be as cheap as £5.20.
M&S Cafe
Deal: Free kids meal every time you spend £5 in the cafe.
Offer running dates: Available weekdays between 24th July to 1st September 2023
Kids can enjoy a £4 Kids Munch Menu free of charge every time you spend £5 or more in the Café. The Munch Menu includes a main, snack and a drink which includes hot and cold options like cheesy tomato pasta, jacket potatoes and pancakes.
It’s available between 24th July to 1st September 2023 in England and Wales. In Scotland it finishes on 18th August and Northern Ireland until 1st September.
