Three years ago, I decided to stop eating anything containing gluten. Since I plan the weekly menu for my family of six, it was easier for the entire family to become gluten-free.

Aldi offers tons of gluten-free options, and the store even carries its own gluten-free line of products called liveGfree.

Although Aldi carries other gluten-free items outside of this line, it's important to remember that some of them may not be certified. This means these items may have been processed in factories that produce products containing gluten.

Here are 10 gluten-free items I picked up for my family during my most recent trip to Aldi.

I always stock up on frozen fruit.

Aldi offers lots of different combinations of frozen fruit. One of my favorites is the mixed fruit, which contains strawberries, peaches, mango, and pineapple.

As a busy family who's always on the go, blending our favorite soymilk with frozen fruit makes for the perfect gluten-free breakfast or snack.

My kids love peanut butter and jelly.

Fruits and vegetables are gluten-free by default and, of course, super healthy. I often joke that I clean out the produce section each week, leaving very little for the next shopper.

We lay out a buffet of Aldi black beans, ground beef (or chicken), salsa, cheese, lettuce, and sliced black olives.

When my family is craving something crunchy, we reach for a bag of gluten-free chips.

Some of our favorites include apple chips, grain-free pretzels, sweet-potato chips, and nacho-flavored cauliflower tortilla chips.

These are great for our family movie nights or to throw in as a snack in the kids' lunchboxes.

Deli meat is perfect for a quick lunch.

I like to add a slice of tomato and a swirl of mayo before placing the meat inside a gluten-free wrap.

I like to pair the stir-fry veggies with chicken, brown rice or quinoa, and gluten-free soy sauce. Sometimes, I'll even add a can of mandarin oranges or pineapple for a salty-sweet flavor.

On our busiest days, gluten-free macaroni and cheese is a quick and easy snack for the kids.

I always add a bag of frozen peas while cooking the noodles to pack in some fiber, protein, and antioxidants.
